About Teacher Liz
My name is Elizabeth, but everyone calls me Liz. I’ve wanted to be a preschool teacher ever since childhood. From a very young age, I would play school with my American Girl doll and Barbies. As I got older, I would nanny my neighbor’s children and help out in the preschool classroom in High School. I’ve worked with children ages 3-5 for 15 years in private preschools and Head Start programs. My passion for teaching continues to grow stronger with every year I teach.
I started my journey to becoming a teacher when my daughter was a Head Start student in 2009. I volunteered in her toddler classroom and throughout all her preschool experience. Before getting my degree, I learned about different styles of teaching, enjoying the many philosophies of education. I went to Portland Community College to obtain my Associates in Early Childhood Education, next to Portland State University for my Bachelor’s in Child and Family Studies, and continued there for my Master’s in Early Childhood Inclusive Education.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading mystery novels, watching movies, baking and cake decorating, going for walks, crafting, going to the beach, playing board games, and spending time with my husband and daughter.

About Teacher Belle
My name is Belinda, but everyone calls me Belle. I have loved working with kids as long as I can remember, and preschool age is where my heart is at.
I started my teaching journey in 2017 after completing my bachelor’s degree. I have worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I have worked in private school settings and Head start settings. I have been teaching professionally for 8 years but have worked with kids since 6th grade. While starting in my teaching career I decided to continue my education journey and go back to school to get my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in STEM. There I learned more in depth about writing curriculum that is engaging and helps the students learn academic and social emotional skills to thrive in their education career.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy being outside, going on adventures with my husband and daughter, watching movies, cooking, baking, and crafting.
